All the timber used in this building is sustainably sourced and meets with all stringent environment legislation, including the pressure treatment that provides long lasting preservation from rot and insect attack. No further protective treatment is necessary, though it can be easily painted to put your own personal stamp on it.

**Please Note: In order to receive the full 15 year anti-rot manufacturers warranty, it is necessary that you treat the garden building with a high quality, spirit-based, timber preservative yearly.
Care & Recommendations: It is advisable to place the item on to a solid, flat, level surface with good drainage. Placing timber parts in pooled water for long periods should be avoided, or on to bare soil or grass. Timber should air dry completely to avoid problems. Consider placing timber part surfaces that are in direct contact with the ground, on to slabs. During annual re-treatment, give additional coats of treatment to timber surfaces that are in direct contact with the ground for extra protection (ie, the underside of the feet or base). Regularly check fixings and tighten where necessary.
PRODUCT FINISH DISCLAIMER. This item is made from pressure treated softwood timber. The timber may show signs of the treatment upon delivery which can leave a residue on the surface. A green or blue tint and or signs of crystallisation (green, white or black specks) on the surface of wood (often mistaken as surface mould) may be evident. This is normal and will clear with use and exposure to the elements over time. Pressure Treated timber products should not be treated with any other treatment product for the first 3-6 months. If left untreated, timber will turn a silvery / grey colour with age. — Whilst every effort has been made during the production and machining of softwood timber to offer completely smooth, planed edges, some timber edges may be slightly rougher or furry to the touch. Where necessary, furry or rough areas can be lightly sanded (wear a mask) to smoothen — Timber is a natural material and grain splits and cracks (otherwise known as "checks") may be present on delivery or will appear over time. This is due to changes in temperature and humidity causing the timber to expand and contract as the moisture content changes. This is normal and to be expected and is not a cause for concern. This will not affect the strength or durability of your outdoor timber product. — Always refer to the instructions manual supplied with your purchase for manufacturer specific safety information and guidance.
